The Hotel de France was built in 1872 and reflects the history and rich heritage of the time. This flagship property of the Austria Hotels International offers all modern comforts and facilities for the discerning traveller.

Accommodations

The Hotel de France has 194 comfortable rooms and suites in modern and traditional style. It also features a limited number of Deluxe Rooms, mainly on the 5th floor and Junior Suites/Maisonettes on the 6th floor and 8 refurbished Suites. For non-smoking guests we also offer non-smoking rooms in each category. Please indicate which you prefer when making your reservation.

Junior Suites:

Our Junior Suites or Maisonettes are on the 6th floor and have a tremendous view over Vienna. They are on two different floors; you may enjoy a spacious living room, a working desk and sitting area (which also allows the opportunity for combining work and relaxation), while upstairs you will find a cosy bedroom with either a double bed or twin beds.

Deluxe Rooms:

Enjoy our Deluxe Rooms on the 5th floor. All of them are elegantly furnished. They are, like all the rooms of the hotel, equipped with a writing desk and digital telephone system with voice mail and Highspeed-Internet free of charge. The absolute tops in personal comfort combined with business facilities.

Superior Rooms:

Our Superior Rooms offer a perfect combination of welcoming hospitality and traditional Viennese atmosphere. Tasteful dark brown or white furniture, high ceilings and crystal chandeliers are only a few amenities you may enjoy in these comfortable bedrooms.

Suites:

We have the pleasure of announcing the completion of eight luxury suites. These air-conditioned suites have either one or two bedrooms and are overlooking the famous Ringstrasse. All of them are equipped with walk in dressers, two full bathrooms with either a full length tub or shower and heated towel rails, two WC, numerous telephones and internet data ports, electronic lap top safe and trouser press.

Restaurants & Bars

No. 3:

Traditonal Viennese cuisine combined with culinary finesse of the French cuisine will give the No.3 a very personal touch. With its trendy interior, its easy atmosphere and the culinary choice it will be the perfect location for any lunch, business or fun and elegant dining.

During the summer season you may also use our Schanigarten, the outdoor terrace, and enjoy various kinds of seasonal meals. On the upper floor of our No. 3, in the so called 'Bel Etage', we serve a full buffet breakfast daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m

Sushi Bar Daihachi:

Japanese Sushi specialities at their best are served in the traditional manner. Teppanyaki dishes are prepared in front of guests.

Atrium bar:

The incomparable meeting place at any time of the day. Enjoy your favourite cocktail and listen to our pianist during the evening. The Lobby Lounge is the perfect place to meet your friends for a coffee break.

Conference Rooms

The Hotel de France has 8 modern, fully equipped air-conditioned conference rooms for up to 150 people. All, except the Salon Baccarat and the Salon Fortuna ,are located on the ground floor near the Atrium, and offer the ideal location for cocktail receptions, get-together parties, coffee breaks or gala dinners. Some of the rooms are traditionally styled with mirrors and crystal-chandeliers, some are modern. There are also a few cosy corners for small meetings in the hotel.
